Sweden's Peace & Love festival has always had a strong message to convey and this year the theme of Courage, Hope and Love will be reinforced by lectures from two of the greatest figures of 21st century human rights activism.
To have both Jesse Jackson and Bob Geldof participate in this year's event is of huge importance to the festival organisers.
Alongside their music programme the festival has always run a series of debates, lectures and workshops for visitors to discuss and share ideas that affect us as both individuals and global citizens.
Having such big names to bring these issues onto the main stage will enforce the festival's message of Peace, Love and Diversity and help to achieve their goal of creating a festival that is about more than just the music.
Now in its twelfth year Peace & Love 2011 has now sold out and can announce an expected attendance of over 42,000 participants. The event starts on June 28, 2011 and runs until the 2nd of July; headline performers are Bob Dylan, M.I.A, The Strokes and Kings of Leon.
