With the recent announcement by MTV that Katy Perry had been nominated for nine 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, the most for any artist this year, the global pop superstar has also set a record, becoming the first artist in MTV history to be nominated for four separate videos in one year.

Katy's nominations include "Video of the Year" and "Best Female Video," for her No. 1 smash "Firework," "Best Pop Video" for "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," and "Best Collaboration" for her No. 1 single "E.T." featuring Kanye West - this year's current top-selling digital song in the U.S.

Katy has been nominated for the following awards:
