Summer may be cooling down, but French DJ/Producer The Toxic Avenger has his sights set on heating up autumn with his Alien Summer remix EP, released worldwide on Monday, September 12.
The "Alien Summer" single features Norwegian nightingale Annie Strand on vocals, and is the follow-up to "Never Stop," featuring vocalist Robert Bruce of the UK act South Central.
Both tracks appear on The Toxic Avenger's upcoming full-length debut Angst, due October 25th via Little Owl Recordings / Roy Music.
The 'Alien Summer' EP features the album track, four remixes, an instrumental version and a radio edit.
The Toxic Avenger - born Simon Delacroix - is one of France's hottest electronic acts, and looks to become a fixture on the North American EDM scene with the release of his upcoming full-length, a brooding mixture of effervescent pop in the spirit of "Alien Summer," and a mesmerizing blend of darker House, big beat and distorted ambience.
Angst was recorded in Morocco, and is a diverse, pop-format bloodbath: punk-electro, dark folk, blip-hop anthems and Delacroix's trademark thriller beats.
Named a Rolling Stone magazine 'Artist To Watch', Delacroix was a featured DJ at the Montreal Electronic Groove Festival (MEG Montreal) this summer and has shared stages with artists ranging from MSTRKRFT and Bloody Beetroots to Late of the Pier and Crystal Castles.
His remixing credits include Ladytron, Benny Benasi and Chromeo.
The Toxic Avenger will make his return to American soil in October, where he will be a featured act at the CMJ Music Fest in New York City.
