Wishes and Thieves - Forest Fire video + tour dates

Wishes and Thieves combines a myriad of contrasting elements - rock, digital-inspired beats, R&B and soul - into something new and vibrant they call electronic induced pop.

They recently released their newest EP Forest Fire and Popmatters commends, "Wishes and Thieves' second EP is a good example of four musicians playing off the strengths of each individual in the band... They exude a cool indie vibe driven by a funky rhythm section."

Forest Fire is a potent sonic mix of etheral and atmospheric vocals, heavy bass, hip-hop drums, and indie rock guitar that has quickly earned the group a fervent following and comparisons to the likes of Bjork, Brazilian Girls and Portishead.

Wishes and Thieves released the "Forest Fire" vinyl single in March with a b-side cover of Ellie Goulding's "Starry Eyed."

Interview Magazine premiered the track saying, "Wishes & Thieves's bass-heavy version subjects the ethereal, atmospheric track to gravity without draining the fun and whimsy. Porter's voice, itself strong and affecting, doesn't reach or alter itself into the Ellie Goulding stratosphere but nestles itself neatly into a delicate arrangement of bass, guitar, syth, and percussion.
