New single "When We Were Young" out on 27th August 2012
Gaoler's Daughter have come a long way since their formation, when they shared rehearsal space with Is Tropical in an abandoned toilet factory in South London.
Following a trilogy of well received independent EPs (played by Steve Lamacq and John Kennedy) their last two singles were championed by Zane Lowe, Tom Robinson, Mary Anne Hobbs and Goldierocks (amongst other UK taste-makers).
The band have now clocked up three consecutive Hype Machine #1's as well as featuring on the Hype Machine radio show.

Gaoler's Daughter have recently supported Graham Coxon and We Are Scientists with this summer seeing the boys continue their live success story, playing some very exciting gigs and festivals across the UK and Europe to support the release of their 3rd single, "When We Were Young". The track has an irresistible summer vibe, with singer John Sterry reminiscing about naive childhood dreams.
