Making April: Runaway World

Someone asked me to check out this band on my myspace. www.myspace.com/makingapril so here it is. My first impression: “These are the Nights”; Great recording, well written music, good melody, good harmony, I didn’t get bored. The first few vocal lines struck me kind of odd but it came together quickly.
The rest of what I hear: It seems that over all everything is well written, Produced, and packaged. What is hard for me to swallow are some of the lyrical analogies. (I’m not sure if I get a sense of real emotion, vocally.) I think some will get lost in this, depending on the market audience. I enjoy a bit more simplicity.
