Emerging singer-songwriter releases debut EP in the UK

Australian singer-songwriter Andrea Soler will celebrate the release of her much anticipated debut EP ‘Better in the Sunshine’ at Salterns Harbourside Hotel in Poole on Friday 2nd May, 2008.

Andrea Soler has been sponsored by Void Acoustics, the leading innovators in audio technology, to collaborate with legendary producer Alan ‘Big Al’ Hill in his studio ‘The Sonic Kitchen’. Big Al has worked with Jack DeJohnette, John Surman and The Baker Brothers among many others. This project is a highlight for him as he is especially excited about the originality of Andrea’s vocals, lyrics and her shining new talent.

Andrea draws upon her deep love of life and her travel experiences to create beautiful music. “I am always inspired by nature,” she says “and I often find myself writing songs whilst walking along the beach or in the forest.” The dreamy title song ‘Better in the Sunshine” was ironically written in Scotland last summer, due to the typical Scottish weather!

Since basing herself in the UK, this Aussie singer-songwriter has gained a steady following of British fans that enthusiastically love her uplifting and soulful tunes, her humour, insight and her sunny personality. Her passionate and honest performances are intimately shared through her natural charm and openhearted spontaneity.

Andrea and her band of talented local musicians, featuring Big Al on bass, will be performing her new songs at the EP launch party at Salterns Harbourside Hotel on Friday 2nd May, followed by a ‘Better in the Sunshine’ tour which will include gigs at the Larmer Tree Festival this summer.

The EP itself is a collection of heart warming tracks that capture the essence of Andrea’s music, whilst her live performances leave the soul uplifted and the heart warmed and enchanted.
