New York City-based rockers The Dig will support Thrice this summer, beginning June 11th at Station 4 in St. Paul, MN, and wrapping up July 17th at the Fox Theater in Pomona, CA.
Before heading to the Midwest to join that tour, the band will first headline the Mercury Lounge on June 5th for a hometown record release show in celebration of their debut album, Electric Toys, which will hit stores on June 8th.

The Dig recently spent a week playing throughout the Northeast and Canada in support of The Joy Formidable, in addition to performing at both the Bamboozle and Truck America festivals.
Of the band's May 1st Mercury Lounge performance, Melophobe raved, "...an airtight foursome for whom I also predict ever-expanding notoriety...This band delivers propulsive tracks with an almost martial efficiency. Their songs tend to establish a jaunty pace from the get-go and march inexorably towards a gratifyingly bombastic conclusion."
The Dig has spent the better part of 2010 on the road, also touring with Editors, The Antlers, Portugal. The Man, and Port O'Brien. Last fall, they toured with The Walkmen, White Rabbits, and Here We Go Magic.
Earlier this year, Electric Toys track "Carry Me Home" was featured on NBC's show Trauma, while "Look Inside" aired on The CW's The Vampire Diaries.
Watch a live video of album track "Sick Sad Morning":
"You're Already Gone" was recently chosen as AOL Music's Spinner blog's 'Free MP3 of the Day' and MagnetMagazine.com's 'MP3 at 3pm:' "New York City quartet The Dig is quickly establishing itself as a force to be reckoned with...Check out "You're Already Gone," which has the same stuck-in-your-head quality as a Strokes or Arctic Monkeys hit."
