The DVD features 12 songs filmed at the Shepherds Bush Empire, London, December 2007, by Phoenix Film and Television Productions. The sound track has been mixed and supervised by Justin Adams, producer of Tinariwen's recent album 'Aman Iman', and regular guitarist with Robert Plant.
Some of the Saharan guitar rebels' most popular songs appear on the DVD, including "Chet Boghassa", "Cler Achel", "Amassakoul 'n' Tenere" and "Matadjem Yinmixan".
In addition to the live footage, 'Live in London' features scenes filmed in Tinariwen's southern Saharan homeland and on the road in Europe. The DVD also includes a wealth of extras.

Carlos Santana:
"To share this stage with Tinariwen is a real joy because when I hear them I hear the beginning of the music of the Mississippi and of Muddy Waters, Jeff Beck, BB King, Little Walter, Otis Rush, Buddy Guy... this is where it all comes from, they are the originators".
