The Tommos will be playing an acoustic set at the Obama Inauguration Party at Brookes University (Gipsy Lane) in Oxford, England on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 8:00pm.
Formed in Oxford, The Tommos features Jenny May and Dave Tommo. They've penned a new song for the upcoming event, "Celebrate, Obama", and will be performing it on the night.
"We're honored to have been asked to play at such an exciting event - on such a special occasion," said Jenny May. "It's incredible that Barack Obama has been elected President...we're definitely ready for a change!"
Jenny May and Dave Tommo's other musical projects include The Babylon Cowboys; hosting the Band Weblogs Podcast Show and the Trendy Bands Podcast with shows airing on CBS owned KYOU Radio and 1550 AM in San Francisco; recording with Greig Stewart and Fyfe Dangerfield from Guillemots on Jenny May's song, "I Ain't Got The Time", and appearing in the Guillemots video for their hit song, "Trains to Brazil".
