Eric Hutchinson to perform at the 84th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Hutchinson's Moving Up, Living Down, Produced by Mike Elizondo And Martin Terefe, Due Out In Spring 2011

Eric Hutchinson will perform in the live broadcast of the 84th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade® from New York City, which will also feature such artists as Kanye West and India Arie.

Riding aboard the Parade's first float - Food Network's Tom Turkey - the Warner Bros. Records artist will premiere "Best Days," a track from his forthcoming album, Moving Up, Living Down.

This year's parade celebration will air Thursday, November 25, 2010 on NBC from 9:00 a.m.- noon in all time zones.

Moving Up, Living Down - which will be released in spring of 2011 - is the follow up to Hutchinson's breakthrough debut, Sounds Like This. He recorded the new album with Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Eminem, Regina Spektor) in California and Martin Terefe (James Morrison, Jason Mraz) in London, but wrote most of the songs for it in New York City.

"I did 500 shows for Sounds Like This, and it gave me a ton of ideas for new material and what I wanted to do on the next record," recalls Eric. "I got a new writing space in New York City and I would hole up there writing nonstop during the week, then play the new songs live on the weekend. If they felt right, they made the cut."

Sounds Like This, which Hutchinson released on his own label in September 2007, bowed at #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and peaked at #5 on iTunes' album chart, becoming the highest-charting album by an unsigned act in iTunes history. Warner Bros. Records signed him and reissued the album in 2008.

Lead single "Rock & Roll" was a No. 1 hit in four countries - the United States, where it topped the Triple A chart, Australia, New Zealand and Norway. Follow up single "OK, It's Alright With Me" was a Top 5 hit at Triple A radio, and was performed by Casey James on "American Idol."

Hutchinson was selected as a VH1 "You Oughta Know" artist and has performed on numerous television shows, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night and The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

USA Today praised Eric's "knack for hooks and melody" while the Boston Globe hailed him as "soulful" and the Santa Barbara Independent noted: "Eric Hutchinson breaks the mold...The result is a 10-song collection that stays upbeat even when Hutchinson is at his most serious, making for a feel-good record that maintains its musical integrity."

Hutchinson has also elicited acclaim for his performances. The Washington Post pronounced him "undeniably charismatic" in a live review while ew.com observed: "[his] tunes struck a glam-rock/classic-rock compromise somewhere between the Stones and the Scissor Sisters."
