Scottish Folk singer-songwriter Benny Tetteh-Lartey wins G-Technology Driven Creativity Award

The award-winning Scottish Folk singer-songwriter Benny Tetteh-Lartey has won this year's G-Technology Driven Creativity Award in the Professional Music Category. The Hitachi Europe sponsored event celebrates the best in innovation in the creative arts.

The competition for photographers, musicians and film makers in the UK, France and Germany, gave nominees a chance to win €5,000 cash prize and technology prizes. As a promotion for the G-Technology storage device brand, participants submitted a creative project created in 2009 or 2010 in the three categories with a chance to win either the cash prize or the company's 4TB G-Raid dual-drive dependable storage system. Tetteh-Lartey received a G-Technology G-Raid drive for his winning entry for the song "You Can't Hide". He received his award at the gala celebration which opened the exclusive exhibition at London's Brick Lane Gallery.

Introduced by the legendary album producer Kipper, Tetteh-Lartey provided a live performance for the gala event attendees. Tetteh-Lartey had been looking forward to meeting competition judge Kipper, who has produced albums for Sting and Stevie Wonder amongst many other famous recording artist names...only to discover that Kipper had been looking forward to meeting him on the night!

Hitachi's G-Technology is showcasing the fantastically creative shortlisted and winning photography, film and music entries from its G-Technology Driven Creativity Competition at an exciting gallery exhibition, held at The Brick Lane Gallery in London, until 22 November 2010. The free exhibition will inspire visitors with the amazing creative competition entries.
