LA indie band Lowlight release their greatly anticipated full-length album, 'A Wonderful Lie' completely FREE for music fans.
When asked why he's offering the record for free, Edward said, "Why would anyone in their right mind purchase a CD or pay for downloads, when you can download it for free from BitTorrent sites, or listen to it on Youtube, Facebook, Soundcloud, etc.? It's idiotic to think that people are gonna pay for something that they are already accustomed to get for free. I'm not making a moral judgement here of what's right or wrong, I'm just stating the facts. The reality is if you could download coffee for free, then Starbucks would go out of business -- just like record companies. We are artists, not a record label, and our responsibility lies in getting the music heard, not sold."
