Deezer UK launch - Music Wall + Facebook installation

Deezer

To celebrate the UK launch of Deezer a unique, creative installation will be staged online and in London from 19-24 October, 2011.

The Deezer Music Wall will be built from hundreds of hand-illustrated postcards conveying the stories behind the nation's favourite tracks as they are shared through Facebook.

The wall will come alive for music fans all over the country through a Facebook application featuring a gigapixel image updating the latest postcards as they are created by a team of illustrators. This is how it works:

STEP ONE:

Think of a favourite track, go to facebook.com/deezermusicwall and tell us why you love it.

STEP TWO:

A team of illustrators will then hand-illustrate your track and its story onto a postcard and add it to the Music Wall at Old Truman Brewery in real time.

STEP THREE:

Explore the wall and zoom in on individual postcards to discover the stories behind the nation's love affair with music; listen to tracks others have chosen. Share your discoveries with friends on Facebook and Twitter.

By entering your track choice you are immediately in the draw to win a SONOS PLAY:3 Wireless Hi-FiSystem or a Deezer Premium+ account. And by tweeting about the Deezer MusicWall, you are in with the chance to receive your illustrated postcard in the mail.

Deezer, the service by music lovers, for music lovers, launched in the UK this month with a spectacular live event in London featuring performances from Rizzle Kicks, Emeli Sandé, Bright Light Bright Light and Housse de Racket.

Boasting 20 million people worldwide, 6 million unique visitors per month and more than 1.4 million premium subscribers in France alone, Deezer offers access to millions of tracks, anywhere anytime.

Far from being a faceless streaming service, Deezer's dedicated editorial team of music experts have injected real, human passion into Deezer, offering exclusive content and recommendations to help users discover the music they love.

Deezer is at the forefront of musical evolution. Having already announced a strategic partnership with Orange earlier this month, Deezer also announced its integration with Facebook to offer a seamless music experience which will allow millions of users to access, discover and share unlimited music in just oneclick.
