After performing a number of successful live shows across the north of England, York-based Likely Lads are now setting their eyes on a wider audience with their debut single "Observations".
Released on Monday 7th May it will be available for digital download, plus a limited batch of hand numbered CDs will be available from the band's website. Accompanied by B-Side Those Were The Days, the Observations single is an in-your-face feel good indie soundtrack that will tell you everything you need to know about Likely Lads.
The title track has already amassed over 100 000 views on the band's YouTube channel with no promotion or financial backing, and within the first five seconds gives an instant feel for Likely Lads' sound.
The no-nonsense lyrics of lead singer/bassist Ross McLeod highlight the struggles of an upcoming band in the current musical climate, and serve as a powerful opening statement for a band with great determination by asking - "who are they to tell us where we belong?"
Likely Lads - Observations video:
