GO Beat GO release new album 'Drive All Night'

Just a year ago, Thomas Monroe and Rory Carruthers from Go Beat Go were touring the U.S. in another band, Vendetta Valentine, dreaming of what it would take to become a famous rock band. The answer: Lots of energy (check), vocal talent (check), an uncanny ability to write and pick great songs (check) and most importantly the phrase, "Drive All Night" - which not coincidentally, is the title of their eagerly anticipated debut album.

'Drive All Night' marks the fifteenth release from Independent Label, The Gaia Project Records, which markets its artists via both mainstream channels and through alternative and new Internet marketing strategies.

'Drive All Night's' clever and realistic title track, an instant crowd-pleaser featuring the tag line "The diner's open, I guess it's time to grab a coffee," is currently being promoted to rock radio stations across America, and building momentum for the album with extremely positive feedback from radio programmers all across the USA.

"We wanted to come out with an honest and realistic rock record that lets our fans in on the world of being on the road in a rock band," Tom adds. “We spent a lot of time recounting the experiences we had on the road and got to the heart of what it’s really like. This is a very personal album about the missed memories of cities we visited and the fans we had the privilage to meet. We look back fondly on those times and felt like the best thing we could do for our fans was to let them in on that world.”

“From the time we decided to go ahead with this record, we kept asking what stands out about our experiences on the road?” Rory says. “Almost every night we would drive through to the next town to play, do interviews and then do it all over again the next night. Everyone knows what it’s like to have a crazy night where you are still awake at 4am thinking to yourself “I’ve been awake this long, might as well grab some coffee.” We did that every night so we became quite aware of what that state of mind is like.”

“When people listen to our music,” he continues, “they tell me it doesn’t sound like anyone else, and that’s because of the way we hear the songs. I love listening to a lot of different types of music and they each inspire different ideas that naturally transfer over into the writing of a song. We want people who hear Drive All Night to feel like they’ve heard it someplace before, but they’re not sure where…offering them something comfortable, yet completely fresh.”

“Rock songs are all about the energy and emotion,” says Monroe. “They make people feel good because they’re about something outside of ourselves and everyone can relate to that. But we wanted to take it a step further and tell a story to go along with that energy and excitement. Our journey was grueling, but we survived and the album shares in this story of triumph over obstacles, long nights of enjoyable friendships, and a longing to experience life. It’s a story that everybody can relate to. Thirty seconds into ‘Drive All Night,’ people hear the tag line and start singing along, and that’s when I know I’m connecting with them.”
