As the summer fades from London's skies in late September, the heat of Havana warms the city's heart courtesy of Soho's Floridita on Wardour Street.

Long established as one of the area's premier nightspots, Floridita has made a deserved name for itself by combining great food and exceptional music in the heart of Soho, offering a warm and uplifting Cuban-flavoured welcome to all comers.

Now, after many successful years of presenting some of Cuba's best musicians brought in specially to entertain diners and dancers alike, Floridita has taken the next step in expanding its entertainment remit to include live bands from a host of different genres, DJs and club nights, cabaret shows and themed musical evenings.

On the 29th September 2011, the club will give London's music lovers a spectacular evening's entertainment that will serve as the launch-pad for the venue's new music and entertainment policy, while maintaining a strong link with the country whose tunes and traditions have served it so well in the past, as the legendary Chucho Valdés takes to the stage.

The 8-time Grammy Award winning pianist will perform with his Afro-Cuban Messengers group to celebrate his upcoming 70th birthday on the 9th October, the first of only three exclusive UK shows.

Chucho's legacy and prestige lends itself perfectly to the class and authenticity of the full Floridita experience, and his appearance at the club will be a night to remember.
