Pony Step, Roisin Murphy and Jodie Harsh to celebrate w/ Simon Henwood at book launch

Henwood

It was announced today that on March 31, 2009, Pony Step Online Magazine, fashion and music icon Roisin Murphy and popular DJ/personality Jodie Harsh will be celebrating with Simon Henwood at his book launch. “Censorship is Like Racism” will be the underlying theme for the Simon Henwood Book Launch at nightclub Vanilla (131 Great Titchfield Street, London) tomorrow.

This theme ignited a firestorm in the media world on the subject of Censorship’s irrational controlling grip as compared to Racism’s irrational hatred. The theme ties into some of the paintings that have brought the press and art community to talk about Henwood’s provocative creations such as the Disney Golly which is a reflection back to Henwood’s childhood memory of the Golly on jam jars, and children’s books.

To add to the party Simon is setting up a photo booth to record new portrait subjects and party goers. Former Boombox Promoter, now online editor of art magazine Pony Step, Richard Mortimer is lending an influential hand. He will be bringing a true tastemaker crowd down to celebrate Henwood’s book launch. Roisin Murphy, Jodie Harsh and other scenester DJ’s will be on deck to keep the music flowing.
