The Box Story, NYC's top high school band, set to play two NY showcases in May
Appearances at The Bitter End and Webster Hall Studio
The Box Story, led by 15 year old singer/writer/piano player/rapper Noah Chenfeld, is set to play two shows in May, first at The Bitter End on Saturday, May 15 at 7:45 pm and then at the Webster Hall Gallery on Wednesday, May 24 at 6:45 pm.
Noah Chenfeld, a student at Beacon High school, a NYC public school, is the only high school freshman in NY fronting a band that is getting regular gigs at legitimate venues.
The band, which also includes Noah's brother Dylan Chenfeld on guitar (who also handles most management functions), Keinan Lee-Zampi on drums and Noah Kaplan on guitar, has garnered over 25,000 views of their videos on YouTube and received enthusiasm from blogs and audiences alike.
The Box Story - Drift Away video:
Drawing far more from Coldplay or Ben Folds than Justin Bieber, Noah Chenfeld is unique in his ability to write sophisticated yet catchy/pop rock songs at such a young age.
In addition, he has also become something of a local legend amongst the high school set with his ability to rap and successfully win freestyle battles on the streets of New York.
