Ten years ago, Eric de Fontenay had an epiphany: “Digital technology will turn the music industry on its head.” And with that premise, he co-founded a small privately-funded web company called Tag It. Ten years later and after a much needed renaming of the company, Eric is proud to be hosting MusicDish’s first 10th Anniversary showcase at this year’s Canadian Music Week in Toronto.
Set for March 8th at the Trane Studio, the showcase will feature some of Canada’s top emerging acts, including Souljazz Orchestra (Funky Afro-Jazz, Ottawa), Kobo Town (Calypso World, Toronto), Grüvoria (Jazz Funk, Toronto), Mélissa Laveaux (Afro-Blues/Neo-Soul, Ottawa) and Caroline Glass (Acoustic Folksy Pop, Montreal).
