Mark Oliver Everett (Eels) book release: Things The Grandchildren Should Know

On 17 January 2008 the book Things The Grandchildren Should Know is released in the UK. That evening the author, Eels leader Mark Oliver Everett, who appeared in the BBC documentary Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives, will make a special appearance performing at St. James Church in Piccadilly, London. Each attendee will receive a copy of the book and the first 200 people in line will get wristbands allowing them to have their book signed by the author.

One week later, on 21 January 2008, Eels are set to celebrate their 10-year anniversary with the release of their first ‘best of’ AND ‘rarities’ collections – MEET THE EELS: ESSENTIAL EELS VOL. 1, 1996-2006 and EELS USELESS TRINKETS: B-SIDES, SOUNDTRACKS, RARITIES AND UNRELEASED 1996-2006.
Mark Oliver Everett will return to the UK with Eels for a full tour in February/March:

i first listened to eels,after susans house on radio, quickly bought first album and converted plenty with it at work…i have never found eels dull…only enlightening..had really bad fall and spent 6 months in spinal unit after being told i’d never walk again..eels got me thru the daze/days and i quickly healed…thanks eels. inspiration indeed and that’s certain. rehabilitation for the soul and body…great show at mcr, can’t wait for sheff..
