CLASH LIVE presents...an awesome line up of bands as part of the Clash Live series, once again at the Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen on Wednesday March 11, 2009.

Watch The Answering Machine - "Cliffer" video:

The Answering Machine:
This young Manchester art-pop trio create sunny melodies perfect for the summer (if it ever comes). With their retro dress-sense and fresh-faced cuteness, they could come across as twee if it wasn’t for the sheer quality of the tunes; catchy, poppy, yet with real depth.

Casiokids

Casiokids:
Delicious wonky pop from the kids, so called because of their initial reliance on cheap 8 bit equipment. Now they rock the party with a unique scando-disco edge that sounds like a party in a geothermal spa held by awesomely cool pixies.

Flashguns:
Take a diverse mix of instruments, throw in some unforgettable melodic hooks and a bit of classic, Smiths-esque wailing about good old blighty and you've got one of the brightest hopes for UK music this year, breaking through on the Clash live tour.
