The song playfully addresses environmental concerns and global destruction, alluding to Earth as an asteroid heading towards an uncertain future: "it's getting warmer in here/but there is nothing to fear/because the world will still be here/after all."
With the artful composition skills of The Silver Fox aka John Goff, the pop anthem that speaks of planetary demise becomes an intense electronic ballad. Friend Slash Lover's Josh Mintz's lyrics become an eerie, soulful reminder of the uncertain times in which we find ourselves. Goff is best known for forming the ambient-indie band Psychic, which enjoyed world-wide cult fame until the band's demise in 2000, and for providing thrashing electronic themes to Sony for Playstation games.

Friend Slash Lover was named "Flav of the Year" (2010) by Beatcrave.com, listed as one of the Top 100 Unsigned Bands of 2010, and is now nominated for Best Recording (EP) for the Radio Music Awards on Radiowired.com.
"With a fresh, creative approach to pop, as heard on their debut EP As American as Ones and Zeros, Friend Slash Lover is ready to share their vision with the world." - FrantikMag.com
"The truly clever have a good sense for how far to take things. It's easy to run the humor into the ground or bury the wit under a weight of excess. On As American As Ones and Zeros, Friend Slash Lover has struck the right level." - Jester Jay Music Blog
"Disasteroid: The Silver Wizard Remix" is destined to become an electronic eco-anthem.
