Charlie Simpson will follow his debut solo show at London's Tabernacle (May 10th) with six regional UK dates.

The Fightstar frontman will bring his acoustic based solo material to Glasgow, Newcastle, Birmingham, Manchester, Portsmouth and Bristol prior to the release of his debut album 'Young Pilgrim' on August 15th.

Charlie Simpson releases debut solo single "Down Down Down"

"Down Down Down", Charlie's multi-textured debut solo single was Fearne Cotton's Record of the Week on Radio 1 and is now on the station's b-list. It is available to download from iTunes now, with an impact date of May 16th.

Produced by Danton Supple (Coldplay, Doves) the track is a harmony flooded alt.ballad inspired in part by Charlie's love of the Beach Boys, Jackson Browne and Elliott Smith.

A three track EP featuring the original demo of "Down Down Down" is currently available to download free at charliesimpsonmusic.com.

The EP contains: Down Down Down (demo), Thorns (demo) and Sundown (album track).
