New music site Green Shoelace launches during SXSW

GreenShoelace.com is officially launching this week during the annual South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. GreenShoelace.com offers curated music event listings for the best music events and concerts in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco across the genres of indie rock, hip hop and electronica.

The site’s evolution during the upcoming spring and summer months includes expanding to cover music events and concerts in several more major and mid-market cities while also covering major music festivals during the 2009 festival season.

Headquartered in New York, GreenShoelace.com’s founders, staff and advisory board include music industry, information architecture, public relations, and online music professionals with experience serving the top U.S. music festivals, music venues, concert promoters, entertainment media websites, consumer print media, and major talent agencies.

To celebrate the launch, GreenShoelace.com delivers two free events to South by Southwest attendees in Austin; taking over the downtown event venue, Palm Door, to host the Green Shoelace Garage.

On Friday, March 20, 2009 the Green Shoelace Garage will feature Brazilian, British and US artists including Holger, Starf***er, Max Tundra and Los Pirata in association with Brasil Musica e Artes and imeem.

Green Shoelace’s official launch event will be taking place on Saturday, March 21st with friends Beauty Bar New York, King Khan and the Shrines, Klever, Felix, Bird Peterson, Debauchery by Bronques from Last Night’s Party… plus a very special secret late night guest to unofficially close the festival and kick off the site.
