Joan Armatrading tour dates for 2007 with video

It was nice waking up to Joan Armatrading’s music playing on Radio 2 this morning. Ever since my brother gave me her Joan Armatrading album for Christmas a few years ago I’ve been a fan of hers and it’s great to see that after 35 years in the business she’s still going strong and getting airplay on popular radio stations like Radio 2.

I think it would be fair to say that not only does Joan Armatrading have her dedicated fans who love her eclectic mix of folky pop, but she’s also a well respected musician’s musician. I love her voice - her placement of words when she sings, her guitar playing and course her lyrics. She can send chills down my spine.

    Thanks for that Jenny!

A few comments if I may please. There’s a full listing of Joan’s dates as well a links and venue information on Gary Foote’s web site. Gary is one of Joan’s regular touring musicians.

Also there’s a new Wiki for live music (and other events) at wikevent.org. Joan’s gigs are listed here.
    Regards!

Excellent gig in Vicar Street last night. From the sound of her new material I think I’m going to love it. She has a great voice for blues.
