Foxy Shazam Official Music Video For Oh Lord

Foxy Shazam

Inimitable rock 'n' soul sextet Foxy Shazam have released their music video for "Oh Lord".

Directed by Jeremy Jackson, whom also directed Foxy Shazam's "Dangerous Man" music video, "Oh Lord" premiered on Yahoo Music.

"Oh Lord" is featured on the Cincinnati band's self-titled major label debut that hits stores on April 13, 2010.

Foxy Shazam currently have a digital and physical pre-order at foxyshazam.com. When you pre-order you'll get two tracks instantly - "Wanna Be Angel" and "Unstoppable."

Citing influences as varied as Marvin Gaye, Elton John and "Born To Run"-era Bruce Springsteen, Foxy Shazam has been creating unique, genre-defying music since they formed in 2004. From the anthemic "Unstoppable" to doo wop power ballad "Bye Bye Symphony" and the swooning "Connect Me," Foxy Shazam is an amalgam of blues, soul, and brash pop bound by a no holds barred punk-rock aesthetic.

Their songs "kick like mules and glitter like diamonds" said SPIN magazine, who named the band one of 10 Artists to Watch in 2010, and Simon Price of the London Observer declared "their ability to knock out killer tunes, wickedly witty wordplay and exuberantly maximalist sound (Andrew WK meets Dexys meets Springsteen) has already caused ripples, but it's on stage that they'll really blow your mind."

See for yourself on their upcoming spring tour, which includes a stop at SXSW.

This band is going to be enormous!

You may have heard their single "Unstoppable" during the Super Bowl, but if you haven't, go grab a copy of their record, Foxy Shazam and let it rock your face off. Mixing bombast and charm with a glam rock sensibility, this Cincinnati band draws comparisons to Queen and David Bowie. Good hooks, great vocals, and attitude to spare. They are striving to be the biggest band in the world, and it just might happen.
Their recent show will be held at Marquis Theater Denver.
