Mr Fogg working on new video with legendary director Tony Kaye
Mr Fogg is never one to do things in the most conventional way, just think back to FOGG SHOP, the pop-up shop he opened for four days last December in Central London. And now, not happy with the video briefs he was sent for his new single "Moving Parts", released April 5th, Mr Fogg took it upon himself to contact (unbelievably, via Facebook) the legendary music video and film director, Tony Kaye, to see if he fancied helping out.

Mr Fogg says:
"In November, we were discussing options for the 'Moving Parts' video. We had various briefs, but we weren't really excited by any of them. I wanted to make something outside the bounds of a traditional music video, but even with that freedom we were being presented with quite middle-of-the-road ideas and there was a feeling that we wanted to find somebody who could do something special.
One night, as an experiment, I edited some scenes from American History X (one of my favourite films) to an instrumental clip of my song 'Moving Parts'. The results were immediately in a totally different league to anything else we had video-wise and we joked that we should try and get the director of that film to do a music video, thinking that it was pie in the sky. When I got home, I looked it up and the director was Tony Kaye. We found some more out about him and it only made us more excited by the idea.
We tried all the official channels - agents, film studios etc - but got nowhere. So, in a kind of desperate last effort, I typed his name into Facebook and there he was. I sent him a message - not realising he was based in Los Angeles - and he replied immediately saying he was flying to London that day and we should meet up when he was there".
The London meeting clearly went well and last month, January 2010, Mr Fogg flew to LA to shoot the video for "Moving Parts" with legendary director, Tony Kaye.
The guerrilla-style four days saw Mr Fogg filming with Kaye at, amongst other locations, The Walt Disney Concert Hall, where Kaye talked his way in and filmed Mr Fogg playing the massive pipe organ - see above photo.

Award-winning Kaye is no stranger to directing music videos and has previously worked with some of the world's biggest artists including "Dani Califonication" for Red Hot Chilli Peppers and "Help Me" and "God's Gonna Cut You Down" for Johnny Cash. And now, Kaye directs "Moving Parts" for Oxford’s solo electronica Artist, Mr Fogg.
