Truck America festival schedule released - Full Moon Resort, NY: April 30 - May 2

Truck America Festival

This weekend marks the kick-off of the Truck Festival's big American splash!

Truck organizers Joe and Robin Bennett are making the rounds this week including a stop at NPR affiliate WAMC's "Performance Place" with Sarah LaDuke at 11:34am EST, Wednesday, April 28 AND a chat on WFUV's Morning Show Thursday, April 29th at 11 AM EST, which also includes live performances from both Common Prayer and The Dreaming Spires! If it couldn't get any better (and it does), Time Out New York previews the Truck America Festival with five not to be missed acts.

Truck America, co-presented by Radio Woodstock, includes performances by Mercury Rev, The Joy Formidable, Here We Go Magic, Hopewell, White Rabbits, Forgetters, Ida, Lewis & Clarke, Common Prayer, Monogold, The Silent League, Joan As Police Woman, Willy Mason, Roadside Graves, Neil Halstead and more on three different stages (and occasionally around an amazing fire pit).

Join us at the Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, NY from Friday, April 30 through Sunday, May 2nd 2010. Weekend passes and individual day tickets are available online NOW from Brown Paper Tickets. In addition to oodles of live music, there will be workshops, films, kids activities, jam sessions and a healthy dose of English camping for those who don't book a room. See you there!

-- Weekend pass includes 3 nights FREE camping (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) @ Full Moon's beautiful grounds

-- Car Parking FREE with ticket purchase (weekend or individual day passes)
-- Don't have a car? Trailways bus from NYC and Kingston (route 28) stops in Big Indian!
-- A range of great value meal passes available - eat like a king all weekend
-- Several bars serving a wide range of beers, wines and liquors (21+, BYO not permitted)
-- Children aged 12 and under are FREE when accompanied by a parent or guardian (not a sibling)
-- Ages 12+ pay full price. ANYONE under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

ABOUT TRUCK:

The Truck festival in Oxfordshire, UK has run for the past 13 years on the principles of independence and ethically minded and cooperative production, with a passion for introducing cutting edge music as well as a reverential nod back to the classics. Bands like Supergrass, Fanfarlo, The Lemonheads, Regina Spektor, Battles, Okkervil River, The Raveonettes, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Wild Beasts, YACHT and The Big Pink have been part of the TRUCK experience over the years. The line up for Truck 13, Truck's annual festival taking place on July 24-25 in Steventon, UK, includes performances by Mew, Los Campesinos! and Future of the Left.
