Former Smiths drummer Mike Joyce debuts new weekly show on EastVillageRadio.com
Mike Joyce's Coalition Chart Show
Premieres: Thursday, May 6, 2010 10AM-Noon ET
EastVillageRadio.com is proud to announce the addition of Mike Joyce, former drummer for the legendary band The Smiths, and present-day kick ass DJ, to its diverse roster of world-renowned and underground presenters.
Mike Joyce's Coalition Chart Show - a completely original version of his UK offering of the same name - will officially premiere on Thursday, May 6, 10AM - Noon ET - and will run every Thursday thereafter in the very same time slot.
Here's how the show works: Mike assembles the information compiled by the UK's Official Chart Company, tracking sales from over 20 of the top independent music stores across the UK. The info is used to coalesce the hottest new music around, as bought by true music fans, and Mike presents it all - flawlessly.
Included on the show premiere: F*ck Buttons, Beach House, X-Ray Spex, Gil Scott Heron, Gorillaz, The Gun Club, The Whip, The Fall, The Drums, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Violent Femmes, Pavement, Dutch Uncles and more.
