Monarchy debut album titled 'Monarchy' to be released via Mercury 9th August, 2010
The band confirms the first ever gig to be broadcast into space
This June, Monarchy will embark on a mission to Florida.
The aim of this mission is to be the first band to broadcast a gig into space. It's a display of ambition that matches their sound.
Space is the natural destination for the Monarchy sound.
Soaring synths and euphoric basslines take aim at the stratosphere where these rich, symphonic pop tunes will find their natural home. Bold and futuristic, theirs is a sound that knows no limits.

The trip takes place from 17-20th June, 2010 and comes in the build up to the release of their debut album, 'Monarchy', set for release in August. It's a hugely ambitious, inventive pop record.
Their debut album will be preceded by single "Love Get Out Of My Way" on August 2nd - the Holy Ghost! remix currently sits top of the Hype Machine.
With its rich textures, it marks Monarchy out as two of the foremost pop musicians around, culturally aware, musically adventurous.
Their bold aesthetic and uncompromising stand against the cult of celebrity has seen them open up new ways of doing things and in doing so they have created their own pop world.
