Here comes Overreact...
A key up-n-comer on the UK scene, 3-piece rocksters Overreact describe themselves as 'Angular Dance Beat Nu New Wavers' - a specific description that can be explained by simply visiting the group's Myspace (www.myspace.com/overreact) because the music does the talking so much better than words.
Catchy melody hooks, vocals that are heavily flavoured with an influence of legendary punksters The Jam, and a rhythmic groove that will bounce around in your head for days. Broadly it's a Pop Punk Indie sound that is cutting-edge and contemporary, new and different.
Overreact had their first ever single played by Radio 1's own pioneer of new music Huw Stephens and have supported buzz acts such as Johnny Foreigner, Fight Like Apes and The Virgins.
The band are still at university yet their budding musical careers are rapidly dictating the path ahead for them. Consisting of vocalist Marcus, bassist Callum and Paul on drums, the trio are preparing for the release of their forthcoming single "Riot Act", commonly described as a youth anthem in the making and likely to take them up the next rung towards mainstream success.
Riot Act is released on 31st May, 2010.
