Australian neo punks Heartbreak Club announce the release of the video for the single "Bethanie," off of their debut EP, Lamecore. To see and hear "Bethanie" please visit www.myspace.com/heartbreakclub.
Lamecore, currently available in Australia via Reign Records, will be available worldwide in online stores on May 8th. The group came together in late 2005 to record Lamecore with Luke Garfield (Lout). Rick O'Neil (U2, Faith No More) helped to master. Look for Lamecore on college radio stations playlists this Spring and for tour dates stateside this summer.
Heartbreak Club wants to destroy the emo movement with a large douse of clever, self-deprecating lyrics ignited by their unique chord arrangements and good humored pop hooks. Perhaps it is their ability to mock and embrace the emotional conventions of western-world youth, mainly through their self-deprecating eyes, that gives the group a connection to them.
Heavily influenced by The Get Up Kids, Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Green Day, The New Amsterdams and Zolof the Rock 'n' Roll Destroyer, among many others - Heartbreak Club are understudies to today's most popular and genuine outfits. They are currently in pre-production of their debut album.
