The Australian Music Prize (The Amp) closes for entries on Friday, 21st November 2008, no exceptions.
Prize Director, Tracey Grimson, says that while The Amp has already received a huge number of entries this year, one of the missions of the award is to ensure every Australian artist who released an original album in 2008 has entered.
"The Amp recognises and rewards creative excellence across the spectrum of Australian music," she said. "Whatever your genre or style, whether you're independent or signed to a label, if you're an Australian artist with an album out this year you really should enter."
The winner of The Amp receives a $30,000 cash prize from PPCA, with Red Bull also offering a $15,000 prize in recognition of outstanding potential.
