A Scholar & A Physician to release AAA-side single She's A Witch / I'm Not Normal / Shouldn't Dwell

A Scholar & A Physician

The first of Brainlove Records' five new signings for 2009 is A Scholar & A Physician.

A famed production duo (Chicks On Speed, Bishi, Anat Ben-David, MC Lars, Piney Gir), the two have been working away at their own material for several years, emerging from their lab wielding a glut of hi-NRG kiddie-pop bangers.

This AAA-side digital single is their debut release, with an album full of ritalin-tinged oddness due to follow in June.

A green-screened pop video, filmed recently in the music studio/parallel dimension known as DREAMTRAK DIAMOND SOUND, is currently in post-production - links to follow soon. You can see a sneaky preview, along with segments of AS&AP's ongoing video diary, on their blog.

They also have a trilogy of great live shows to announce - Brainlove Festival, BRNLV vs. White Light and the tremendous Woolfire Festival. Details and dates below.

A Scholar & A Physician are Steve Dawson and Oliver Horton.

The AAA-side single - She's A Witch / I'm Not Normal / Shouldn't Dwell - is set for release April 20th 2009 on Brainlove Records.

"The spirit of homemade fun...somewhere between Jeffrey Lewis and a riot in Dixons" - Stool Pigeon
