We Are Standard are from Bilbao in Northern Spain.
Last year they did the rounds playing SXSW, CMJ before ending the year winning Best Spanish band at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
2010 will see them release their debut album produced by Gang of Four legend Andy Gill. Arthur Baker has reworked one of their songs to awesome effect. So awesome in fact that they are going to put his version out as their first single.
