The Muscle Club to release 'Fragmented Ideas From Young Lungs' EP

Hailing from Cardiff in South Wales, young quartet The Muscle Club make light work of crafting genuinely melodic, uncompromising and jangly indie pop tunes. Having formed a little over 12 months ago, co-front men Matthew Hitt and Michael Bateson-Hill deliver often heartfelt lyrics with a raw passion that belies their tender years and bring to mind 90's indie outfit Fugazi and more recently, At The Drive In.
Having spent the past 6 months touring, playing with the likes of Cursive, Johnny Foreigner, Dananananaykroyd, Black Lips and recording a live session at BBC’s Maida Vale, the young Welsh outfit are set to hit the road again this summer to showcase tracks from upcoming EP, ‘Fragmented Ideas From Young Lungs’, out on July 13, 2009.
"Muscle Club emerge from the Cardiff scene, eyes blinking in the daylight, with riffage, tunes, attitude, melodies = winner" - Huw Stephens, Radio 1
"From the same scene as Los Camp! It trills along elegantly with its jangling Marr guitars and spiked lyrics. Plus it starts exactly like Hounds of Love" - NME - Radar For “All for the Kids”
