Petter & The Pix - "Never Never" video

Six-piece Swedish style-hoppers Petter & The Pix will release "Never Never" - the first single from their forthcoming album, 'Good As Gold' on 26 April (Gung-Ho! Recordings).

"Never Never" is a strange, fuzzy pop song, driven by a relentless keyboard riff, gently psychedelic guitars, and Petter's quietly emotive vocal delivery.

It was recorded in live takes during album sessions which totalled just two days, and then assembled over a painstaking twelve month period.

Like the record from which it is taken, "Never Never" is a sonically and emotionally layered listen: instantly catchy, but properly revealing itself upon consequent revisits.

"Never Never" is the first proper taster from 'Good As Gold': a dazzlingly eclectic record that sees Petter repeatedly roam round, and transgress, various genre boundaries.

The story of two brothers, Petter and Pontus, and two very different paths.

Pontus is one half of the songwriting super-force Bloodshy & Avant (responsible for Britney's 'Toxic').

Petter, by way of contrast, once formed part of Iceland's first ever reggae act, Hjallar. Petter recruited a new band, The Pix, bringing together members from Taken By Trees, Gusgus, and Lykke Li (they're currently the touring band for Pontus' latest project, Miike Snow).
