City Showcase is thrilled to announce the line-up for the Rock Sound and XFM Rock Show night in a series of events that will take over the capital this summer. City Showcase the London music festival known for showcasing the best new and emerging talent across all spectrums of music across the capital will again be joining forces with Rock Sound Magazine and XFM to host its Rock night on May 7, 2010.
City Showcase is also extremely pleased to announce the line up for the XFM and Rock Sound Magazine night on May 7th sponsored by Jagermeister.
Headlining will be hardcore punk band from Leeds The Plight who, after tours with the Gallows and Converge, will be looking to show how good a live band they are!
Also playing are These Monsters whose new album has been quoted as "hefty riffs, powerhouse drumming and an all round cohesiveness that many modern prog and psych influenced bands fall short of".
Completing the line up is Tek-One and Brighton's Floors and Walls who have been described as "A melting pot of hard rock, MCing, melodic guitars and soulful, yet hard hitting lyrics".
The evening will be hosted by King of Xfm rock DJ Ian Camfield. Adding to the fun or carnage the Jagerettes will be on hand at the Borderline for a Jagermeister promotion with lots of Jagermeister.
Darren Taylor editor of Rock Sound said, "After the success of last year's event - Rock Sound is once again looking forward to teaming up with City Showcase and the Xfm Rock Show to provide another belting night of new music with some excellent bands on the bill".
Ian Camfield host of the Rock Sound & XFM night said, "City Showcase is a great forum for new bands to show off their talents. It's a really well organized event, curated by people who love music".
City Showcase's 2010 calendar of events includes free workshops and showcases at The Apple Store, Regent Street as well as gigs across London and an out-door stage on 5th May in Gerrard Street. City Showcase has a great record of spotting tomorrow's emerging talent today: Gallows, We are the Ocean and Black Hole etc all performed at the festival before they became the household names they are today.
