Independiente announce the reissue of Ulrich Schnauss‘ highly acclaimed albums ‘A Strangely Isolated Place’ and ‘Far Away Trains Passing By’ and his new EP ‘Stars’ (available as download only).

Ulrich’s 2001 debut album ‘Far Away trains Passing By’ and his 2003 release of ‘A Strangely Isolated Place’ are re-released on October 13th, 2008 with bundles of extra material and much improved sound quality as a result of re-mastering.

Independiente’s 2008 release of ‘Far Away Trains…’ retains the much-loved “Knuddelmaus”, “…Passing By” and “Molfsee” and are also joined by an exceptional bonus disc of tracks including “As If You’ve Never Been Away,” “Crazy for You” and “Wherever You Are”. Even if you already own a copy of the original release, you’ll want to pick up this re-mastered reissue for the brilliant seven track bonus disc which more than doubles the number of tracks that appear on the album proper.

The 2008 reissue of ‘A Strangely Isolated Place’ has also been digitally re-mastered and includes two bonus tracks; the hauntingly beautiful “Gone Forever” and the lush, melodic “On My Own” both remixed by Robin Guthrie. This brilliant, critically acclaimed album maintains it’s raw, elegant quality and benefits from the added clarity brought to it during the re-mastering process.
