Sunny Day Sets Fire set to release Summer Palace LP + launch Video Series

In anticipation of the July 8, 2008 release of their debut LP ‘Summer Palace’ (IAMSOUND Records), pych-pop indie rock band Sunny Day Sets Fire has teamed up with 10 different directors to create a series of 10 brand new videos.
With one video to be released every week for the next seven weeks, each video showcases the director’s interpretation of a different song off of ‘Summer Palace’. Once premiered, the videos will make their way to Sunny Day’s video widget, which can be grabbed and embedded below:
A few of the directors who have participated in this video series are Cat Solen (Los Campesinos, Sia, CSS, Death Cab for Cutie, Bright Eyes), Christian Swegal (Kanye West, Gnarls Barkley, Lupe Fiasco, Spank Rock), and Radical Friend (Of Montreal, Electric President, Favourite Sons).
‘Summer Palace’ follows the successes of two Sunny Day Sets Fire EP’s - Brainless EP and the Stranger Remix EP. The Stranger Remix EP includes remixes by CSS, XXXChange of Spank Rock, The Cool Kids, and Mad Decent/Diplo.
With ‘Summer Palace’, Sunny Day Sets Fire offer the listener an extention of their pop hybrid in the vein of The Beach Boys, The Flaming Lips, Architecture in Helsinki, and Of Montreal.
