--------MySpace Music is proud to announce that the Bay Area’s own Opio will be performing a free show for his MySpace friends at DNA Lounge in San Francisco, CA, on August 26, 2008 - a show being powered by Saints Row 2.
As a celebration for the release of his latest limited edition album ‘Vulture’s Wisdom, Volume One’ Opio will be making an appearance with special guests DJ Lex, Tre Styles, League 510, JC, and many more. Attendance is free for 21+ adults for the performance on a first come, first served basis starting at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26.
As one of the core members of the Hieroglyphics Imperium collective, the Oakland-based underground rap outfit featuring an assemblage of talented emcees and producers, Opio has been able to achieve hip-hop cult status through his affiliations as well as his exuberant solo output.
Though mainly known for his involvement in the Souls of Mischief and serving as a key player on one of hip-hop’s most impressive albums to come out of the early West Coast underground (”93 ’til Infinity”), the nasally-voiced Opio continues to pull double duty and thrive as a focused wordsmith and production head.
Now with his recently-released, limited edition album titled ‘Vulture’s Wisdom, Volume One’ with partner Architect, Opio is aiming to further his solo career with yet another offering that illustrates his various talents to the absolute fullest.
